Recycled Glass Dangly Earrings

These beautiful blue earrings started off as shards from a smashed wine bottle.
Putting them in my kiln took off the sharp edges, and they whispered to me that they wanted to be earrings.

So I then created tiny silver caps for them, each one different and made to fit just so. Now they sit perfectly, ready to sway with you as you move.

Being glass and silver they are really light weight, so while they will sit perfectly on your ear, they won't try and drag it down. From the hook to the bottom of the shard they measure about 3 inches or 7.5 cm.

These are unique. It's very unlikely I'll be able to make another pair just like this - glass doesn't just break to order.
